If it isn’t only for my love for Helena Bonham Carter and the mastermind that is Miuccia Prada I must admit that I would love to be in therapy right now. I’m a huge fan of this fashion film the fashion house Prada released at the Cannes Film Festival recently. The fashion film that, unfortunately, only consists of a mere three minutes creates a scenery and feel that absolutely hypnotises me. Veteran film director Roman Polanski was able to create a world that is so intriguing in both dialogue and scenery even though the movie is as simple as it can be. It’s definitely one of those things that looks simple on the first hand but when you look again and again there are so many details that begin the show and you begin to appreciate. The last line stating that “Prada suits everyone” is the perfect line to end a small like film this as it’s so comprised to what’s fashion is all about. Original Article

I was invited to the New Look press day last tuesday and boy what was the collection amazing. The Fall/Winter collection breathes gothic, edgy, street, vintage (as in 50’s) and romantic influences but breathes most of all the British identity of the New Look brand. I was most impressed with their shoes, I’ve always been a fan of their affordable sky scrapers but the ones they’re bringing to their stores next season are edgy and absolutely gorgeous. Wedges that appear to have no heel with golden details and leopard prints brought to the next level with studs and othr embellishments that you’ve just gotta love. Next to their shoe collection and apart from their (very fashionable) items the denim collection was pretty rad as well. Bleached denim in deep rich burgundy and purple or grey shorts with rhinestones in the shape of bolts or crosses. The event was held at The Dylan Hotel in Amsterdam. We we’re well taken care off with delicious drinks and snacks. It was really cool to see the entire collection in an area where it was just about New Look, making sure everyone of us could dive into the story they have in store for you next season.
